AnimalCareBot is a collaboration between faculty in the Department of Agricultural Sciences and the Ingram School of Engineering (ISOE) at Texas State University.
This project will address the prevailing challenges of:
- A deficit in science and engineering graduates to fill requisite positions in the agricultural workforce,
- Ethnic underrepresentation among agriculture and engineering degree recipients and the workforce, and
- College graduates are not equipped to work cross-disciplinarily to solve challenges in the agricultural sector with technology.
Objectives:
- Provide experiential learning in animal science and engineering across the academic continuum,
- Support underrepresented students pursuing degrees in areas with projected workforce deficits, and
- Develop critical competencies in the emerging agricultural workforce.
